Youth Development Programmes

Hinduism for Children

The Sri Sarada Devi Ashram conducts a value-based education course on Hinduism for children and youth. The learners are graded from preschool up to the matriculation level. The classes are held every Sunday morning, using prescribed texts. The lessons include a structured course on Hinduism, highlighting the following:

Importance of prayer, meditation and chanting from the scriptures.
Stimulating and developing youth potential
Character and personality development
Promoting moral and ethical values through stories from the scriptures and every-day life
Encouraging family values

Examinations are written in February/March each year. Preschool learners and learners who pass the examinations are presented with certificates.
